Founded in 1972 by Robert Verette, Vertex Corporation has maintained a presence in San Antonio, Austin and Houston, Texas. Vertex continues to be involved in both commercial and residential construction. During the 80’s, Real Estate Sales, Appraisals and Development were added to the company’s disciplines. Scheduling using both Primavera and Microsoft Project helps keep project completion dates on time. In-house job cost accounting software helps keep projects within budgets. Vertex has great relationships with former clients and vendors. Referrals account for 50% of our business. The ability to self-perform work provides an advantage in offering lower prices to customers without sacrificing quality.

Vertex was the first to: eliminate steel channels used for forming the perimeter of precast concrete wall panels; stack precast panels on top of each other reducing forming costs; use the lost sand method for exposing aggregate on the face of precast panels; use a free standing tower crane in San Antonio; develop the first menu driven construction accounting software for its Basic Four Computer in 1974 using Dartmouth Basic programming language, the original version of the BASIC programming language.
